The Client

The Metropolitan Housing Trust is one of the largest housing associations in London and the South-East. They offer a range of housing, property management, regeneration, community and support services to over 70,000 customers. They are part of Metropolitan Housing Partnership, one of the largest social housing and regeneration groups in the UK.

The Design Team

Anne Thorne Architects Partnership is the architectural practice responsible for the design of the  refurbishment. They are committed to an architecture that sustains the environment and enhance people’s quality  of life. They work closely to clients and future users of the buildings.

Environmental Consultants

Eight Associates are BREEAM Accredited Professionals and have a great experience in Eco-ratings, sustainable design, energy modelling and renewable energy technologies.

The Contractors

Sandwood Design &Build Ltd is a medium size company operating in the Greater London area. They have an extensive experience in social housing, new build and refurbishment.

The Engineers

King Shaw Associates is an engineering consultancy who offers their services to clients and architects that want to build environmentally friendly buildings.;npsb


Dr. Ben Croxford, course director of the MSc Environmental Design and Engineering at UCL (University College London) will be monitoring the building energy performances for two years after completion with the tenants’ collaboration.

Tenants have been chosen by the MHT among a number of applicants. They look very keen to collaborate to the project and further details about them and their opinions will be added in the Tenants’ opinions section.
