BC visit 14th Jan _ Launch Day

with one comment

House open for visitors, all systems in and working, house looking good, just a few minor bits to do before hand over. About 30-40 visitors during the day, i would estimate, the services cupboard attracted most interest i would say

  1. Also visitors made a lot of questions to Fran (ATAP) about materials used and how to avoid damp problems.

Charlie (Sandwood) and Fran agreed that probably the only thing they wouldn’t do again is using lime plaster because it takes to long to dry: it takes 2 weeks for each layer and you have to let it dry naturally otherwise it cracks. the drying time of the lime plaster delayed the end of the works of about one week.
